Wayne Black is a Registered Architect with over 40 years' experience in Design and Construction and is qualified in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), offering services such as Expert Determination, Mediation, Negotiation and Expert Witness Reporting.
Construction projects are intricate endeavours, and despite thorough preparation, unexpected issues can cause disputes, delays and costly legal battles. ADR helps navigate challenges between parties, providing a reliable, cost-effective alternative to litigation. Wayne is well-equipped to assist clients seeking dispute resolution and has the knowledge and ability to analyse complex construction issues.
With a diverse background in architectural processes and having successfully managed numerous commercial and domestic projects, Wayne's expertise covers the entire architectural process, from conception to construction, and includes freehand technical drafting, conceptual design, documentation and contract administration.
Wayne completed both Mediation and Expert Determination courses through Resolution Institute in 2021, becoming an Accredited Expert Determiner. Together with his experience, knowledge, and expertise as a Registered Design Practitioner for Class 2, 3 & 9 buildings, he now offers a comprehensive skill set.
Wayne is registered as a practicing Architect with the New South Wales Architects Registration Board and is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, the Association of Consulting Architects, and the Architects Association of NSW Inc. In addition to his ADR services, he contributes to the industry as a Service Provider for iCare HBCF – BCRP. He also held academic roles in 2022 as a Casual Academic Tutor in Construction at both the University of Sydney and the University of NSW.
