Jim Cyngler OAM

Jim CynglerJim Cyngler is the founder of Cyngler Consulting, which provides mediation services, conflict management training and facilitation to organisations and individuals.

Mediation

Jim helps people in conflict or dispute to develop a capacity for meaningful decision making.  Through this approach Jim enables and supports parties to evaluate and articulate their priorities, appreciate the perspectives of others and assess their readiness to manage the decisions available to them.  In return, parties gain control over their lives, create strong commitments to outcome and develop their relationships into the future.

Since becoming a Nationally Accredited Mediator with the Victorian Bar Association in 1992, Jim has conducted over 3000 mediations.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia, has been accredited as an Advanced Mediator by LEADR and is a Principle Instructor under the National Mediation Approval Standards. He is an accredited mediator on the Federal Court Native Title Panel of Mediators.

Areas of Practice

Jim mediates across a wide range of disputes including construction, commercial, property, community, anti-discrimination, workplace relations and Native title.

He is an accredited mediator on the Federal Court Native Title Panel of Mediators and regularly mediates at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Small Business Commission.
Jim regularly provides facilitation services for not-for-profit organisations and individuals to help them define goals, develop strategy and enhance effective decision making, often in complex and/or high conflict circumstances.

Conflict Management Training

Jim Cyngler Consulting is a provider of conflict management, mediation and Transforming Conflict programs, providing training to individuals, mediators and team leaders in the legal, corporate, not-for-profit and Government sectors across Australia and overseas.

Jim's focus is on enhancing people’s capacity to manage and transform conflict as a key dispute resolution, leadership and management skill. His training workshops provide participants with the skills to recognise causes of conflict and opportunities for empowerment, leading to clear decision making and management of conflict.
